The year 2016 indicates the beginning of a new era for Poseidonion Grand Hotel as its unique culinary identity starts to span outside the island’s mainland and achieve well-deserved recognition. “On the Verandah” restaurant received the Greek Cuisine Award while our executive chef Stamatis Marmarinos was honoured as the New Talented Chef in the Golden Chef’s Hat annual ceremony organised by Athinorama magazine. 

True to the essence of Greek gastronomic culture, deep understanding of local traditions and a never-ending search for the finest ingredients with a farm-to-table approach let alone perfection in execution and an eye akin to detail, Stamatis Marmarinos, is starting to leave his footprint in the gastronomic map of Greece.

Those two awards are to reward hard and persistent work, team spirit and cooperation as the key ingredients of every successful recipe yet mark the beginning of a journey towards the a la Spetsiota version of Nouvelle Greek Cuisine, for the journey’s shake.
