Another Weekend in Tweed was completed with great success and warm participation, flooding the island of Spetses with well-polished bikes and special tweed appearances and giving images like postcards of the past.

This special event, organized on October 13-15 for the 9th year by the Poseidonion Grand Hotel in collaboration with the Hellenic Bicycle Museum, transported participants to the elegance and romance of bygone eras.

With a retro mood and sunny weather as an ally, the three days were full of vintage adventures and great nostalgic atmosphere, impressive two-wheeled treasures, but also... the spirit of adventure in the company of Cutty Sark, the legendary Scotch whiskey which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, major sponsor of the event.

From the early morning of Saturday October 14, with the autumn sun bathing the hotel and Poseidonion Square, the established ritual began for an... unforgettable journey through time. The stylistic suggestions from the Kilo Shop, the check-up of the bikes from Freewheel Bikes, the admiring glances at the historic bikes but also the discussions about the two-wheeled treasures gave the impetus to start cycling.

With the good weather as an ally, the Tweeders started from Poseidonion Square for the most elegant ride. Passing through the picturesque narrows of the island and pedaling along the coastal road, they made their first stop at the Old Port and the Kapelogiannis restaurant for a refreshing treat. The bike horns sounded again and the participants reached the area of Agia Marina, Paradise Beach where they enjoyed a picnic in a beautiful location that combines the green landscape of the island with the endless blue of the sea, while the decorative touches and the photo booth from Spetses Events gave a welcoming and fun note.

The tweeders enjoyed delicious flavours prepared by Poseidonio's catering team, hot delicious loukumades from Nero tis Agapi restaurant and of course refreshing Cutty Sark drinks by Brand Ambassador Tryfona Panousis.

The old school tunes from the vinyls of Johnny Vavouras transported participants on a journey through time, while many of them did not miss the opportunity to show their skills in the cycling tests organized by Loizos Ioannou with the support of "be in" who provided the equipment. The highlight of the day was of course the competition to highlight the best looks and entries with the tweeders competing for the prizes. The jury was made up of Vicky Christopoulou, beauty editor of Attica Media Publications, Panagiotis Grigoriou, owner of 1900 The Barber Shop, Petros Petrakopoulos President of the Foundation of Anargyrios and Korgialenios School of Spetses and Theodoros Skaltsas, Group Brand Manager of Cutty Sark.

The day ended with an atmospheric party at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel's Palms The Bar, where participants had the opportunity to enjoy exquisite signature flavours from the hotel's Chefs, vintage music from the beloved Johnny Vavouras, and of course drinks and cocktails from Cutty Sark Scotch whiskey. From the classic Cutty Old Fashioned, the refreshing Cutty Sour and the exuberant Cutty Bramble to the Cutty Sark 12 Years Old, tweeders enjoyed the timeless Scottish blend with its roots in the prohibition era.

The Weekend in Tweed concluded on Sunday 15 October with the Concours d'Elegance and the awards for the masterpiece bicycles, which was held with the valuable help of the Hellenic Bicycle Museum. Collectors and classic bike enthusiasts had the opportunity to talk about their precious treasures and share their stories.

The beloved Weekend in Tweed brought English elegance to Spetses again this year, offering incomparable old time classic moments full of vintage mood of past eras.
