As one of the first spa hotels in Greece way back in 1900, the Poseidonion Grand Hotel has always been an exponent of wellbeing, with the notion of joie de vivre an integral part of its hospitality philosophy. It is, therefore, no coincidence that a very unique Mediterranean Retreat has been planned to take place in October based in the hotel itself on Spetses. 

The six-day event will explore the benefits of the Mediterranean diet and the Epicurean Prospective for a Pleasant Life through a series of talks by experts in the field and special cookery workshops at the Bostani, our hotel’s organic farm. The retreat has been organised by Criterione, a team of passionate professionals dedicated to extolling the virtues of ‘the good’ life according to the ancient Greek philosophers and the rewards of harmonising mind and body through balanced nutrition. Each day of the event will take participants on a culinary and philosophical journey in the beautiful setting of Spetses, an island renowned for its natural pine-forested beauty, its crystalline waters and cosmopolitan air. 
 

Paying homage to the richness of the traditional Mediterranean diet and how it remains one of the healthiest in the world even today, the workshop could not find a more suitable location for demonstrating just that than at the Bostani, where the authentic farm-to-table experience can be fully appreciated. And with Greece being the home of the great thinkers Plato, Aristotle, Epicurus and Hippocrates, all of whom will be discussed in the series of talks planned for the event, the retreat promises to be imbued with the true spirit of Ev Zin. The premises of ‘a sound mind is a sound body’ and ‘we are what we eat’ will find full fruition in a workshop dedicated to outlining how happiness and success can be achieved today by making the most of the Mediterranean diet & lifestyle while following the ancient wisdom of Greek philosophy.
